Steve Lord, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®

Born and raised in Fort Worth, I am a life-long Texan with the exception of one great year working in Costa Rica. Originally licensed as a Real Estate Salesman in 1980, I received my broker's license in 1982 and opened Steven Lord & Company, REALTORS in Snider Plaza, Dallas. In Dallas I was involved in remodeling projects as well as residential brokerage, typically in older, close-in neighborhoods. Subsequently I worked in the REO (foreclosed property) departments of CitiFinancial Mortgage and Fannie Mae before returning to residential sales with Kenneth Jones Real Estate.

My several years of volunteer work with Preservation Dallas was a pleasure and encouraged my love of history and quality architecture. I have owned homes in Dallas designed by Charles Dilbeck and Sumpter Bibb and I now live in Fort Worth in a mid-century townhome designed by John Wesley Jones.

My sons, one in Dallas, one in Austin are giving back to their Dad the kinds of insights and information I gave to them over the years. My daughter in San Francisco is immersed in the apparel world and always has a fresh idea tossed with an original perspective.

My family and my work make me fortunate and for them I am thankful.
